Zaira Wasim Quits Bollywood: Anupam Kher And Soni Razdan React On Her Decision
Zaira Wasim’s decision of quitting Bollywood, citing religious reasons, has come as a shock to one and all. Known for her brilliant performances in films like Dangal and Secret Superstar, Zaira took to social media to inform her fans about her decision of not doing films anymore. Soon after her shocking announcement, it sparked a debate on Twitter, while many supported her decision, others said citing religious reasons wasn’t appropriate to quite a profession. Now after celebs like Raveena Tandon, Raza Murad, Tanushree Dutta, The Sky Is Pink makers and Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari, Anupam Kher and Soni Razdan have reacted on the same.

Anupam Kher told ANI, “He said, "I think it's a tragedy. I think it's a tragedy that a 16-17-year-old girl has to take a decision like that. I do respect her sentiments, I do respect that it's her individual choice. But as a person I feel sad she had to take a decision like this of her flourishing career. On one hand, we talk about women empowerment and on the other hand we say that it's not like that. Personally, I feel she should not have done that. But she is an independent girl and our country gives everybody a fundamental right to choose what they want to choose."

While replying to a tweet, Soni Razdan wrote, “I just hope she grows up to realise that if you love what you do, that is exactly what God would want for you. And acting and the creative arts are in no way something dreadful or self indulgent. To make people feel, cry, laugh, think & connect is in itself a noble thing to do.”

Taking a dig at her decision, Raveena had called her ungrateful and said, “Doesn’t matter if two film olds are ungrateful to the industry that have given them all. Just wish they’d exit gracefully and keep their regressive views to themselves.”

There were also reports that Zaira’s account was hacked, but the Dangal actress came out and cleared the air that she’s indeed quitting Bollywood.
